This position will be responsible for the oversight of production, shipping, and receiving inventory. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with an eye for details and organizational skills. This role will report to the Senior Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities:
Process purchase orders for manufacture and shipment
Work closely with factory to ensure orders ship accurately and on time
Ensure customer requirements – including, but not limited to, product compliance, shipping, and invoicing - are being followed
Assist inventory analysts with monitoring inventory levels to prevent loss of sales due stock outages
Organize transportation activities from China to US warehouse – including, but not limited to, creating and executing container plans, coordinating and tracking movement of goods through logistic pathways, and reporting incoming shipments to the warehouse
Act as a liaison between suppliers, transportation partners, and internal teams for the execution of global shipping
Track & trace inbound shipments and proactively follow up as required to ensure timely deliveries
Communicate late deliveries and update delivery schedule accordingly
Manage shipment exceptions, shipment prioritization and expedited shipments
Analyze and summarize logistics, operations, and freight costs; investigate and report what’s driving any significant variances to budget
Submit commercial and customs documentation for shipments
Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes
Receive and process invoices for transportation and customer-related costs
Qualifications:
2+ years of international logistics and trade compliance in consumer products
Authorized to work in the U.S. for at least the next two years
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of the various modes of transportation and global logistics terminology
Experienced with MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
Keen attention to detail, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks at once
Able to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desire and ability to be a team player who appreciates a unique, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment
Able to work both as an individual and in a team environment to resolve issues
Organized, detail oriented, and multi-task
Strong communication skills, written and oral
Proven ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks
Able to lift packages over 30 pounds may be required from time to time
