Manufacturing Engineer Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Starting at $75,000 to $85,000/yearly, paid weekly

  • Located in La Fox, IL, hiring immediately

Manufacturing Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis works with VP of Manufacturing and various supervisors, managers and other engineers in an effort to manufacture existing products according to the production schedule.

  • Direct the technical aspects of the hourly employees manufacturing the products. Including resolving problems, improving the quality, performance and manufacturing costs of these products.

  • Discuss product specifications and applications with customers and sales personnel.

  • Be involved in redesigning a product to meet customer’s needs.

  • Work to improve the design and operation of assigned products in an effort to improve its performance in the field and acceptance by the customer.

  • Other assignments within manufacturing, such as engineering new products outside of assigned products, assisting with engineering inspections and evaluation of components during incoming inspection, etc.

  • Develop, or suggest improvements to existing, test fixtures and assembly fixtures.

  • Should possess working knowledge of statistical methods, and be able to present data and findings in a suitable manner for internal consumption, as well as for customer presentation.

  • Understanding of basic machining operations, design tolerance stack-ups, fabrication prints, and GD&T.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office ™ applications. Ability to import/export data into and out of Excel ™, develop meaningful graphs, and communicate ideas in a cogent manner.

  • Understanding of electrical circuit concepts (DC, AC, and RF), along with the ability to use, and to train others in using, electronic test systems (including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.).

  • Develop Work Instructions for customer assemblies, and, when necessary, Test Instructions and Quality Documents for those products.

  • Interact positively with customers throughout the introduction, first article, and production ramp-up phases of new or revised products.

  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety in a multi-faceted manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS degree in Physics, Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Several years of experience in manufacturing devices for AC and RF applications.

  • Working knowledge of engineering principles involved in RF products, and their applications.

  • Member of the ISO-9001 manufacturing committee
