Apply online and kick-start your career today!Pay, Schedule, and LocationStarting at $28 - $30/hour, paid weeklyDay shift, rotating schedule, overtime availableLocated in Richmond, VADuties and ResponsibilitiesComplete repairs in a timely manner, along with a variety of other duties to all machinery, facilities, and utilities per work order, oral or written instructions provided by maintenance supervisor, manager, or operations department requestsPerform planned, routine, or emergency mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on equipment as assignedPrepare and coordinate completion of work orders for regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of machines, facilities, and utilitiesLog and track specific work functions on production equipment and periodically update preventative maintenance programTrain other mechanics and operators to effectively keep machinery in good working conditionPerform all work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicableComplete electronic maintenance work orders, report work done, parts used, and time spent on each jobFill out paper or electronic daily time sheet as to tasks performed and time spent on the jobDetermine items that need to be purchased or replaced, place requisitions with the administratorMake recommendations for spare parts to be ordered to keep as stock itemsResponsible for training operators, and other positions as needed, to prepare these positions to perform minor electrical-mechanical functionsCoordinate with maintenance supervision details of any repairs (including outside vendors), preventive maintenance, or improvements needed on equipmentCollaborate as a team member with other plant associates to identify improvement opportunities as related to improving equipment reliabilityActively support all safety policies and follows policies and procedures including GMP, PPE, HACCP, OSHA standards and JSA regulationsResponsible for ensuring, where applicable, the product safety, quality, regulatory compliance and legality of all products produced and soldClean as you go while keeping your work area clean and follow 6S sustainability planRequirements and QualificationsA technical two-year degree or an associate degree in a technical field with minimum 7 years of relative experience in a manufacturing plant is desiredElectrical Journeyman license desirableWelding certification is desirableExperience in industrial maintenance (Electrical / Mechanical) and troubleshooting of automated machineryAn in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processesMust be particularly strong in electrical troubleshooting Control Systems, VFD’s, PLC discrete I/O as well as 480v 3 Phase electrical motors and circuitsMust be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty poundsAble to push, pull or carry light to heavy loadsCan utilize PLC when troubleshootingDetailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including troubleshooting of AC-DC PLC and circuits to board level, Motors, Logic Control Systems, and ControllersAbility to read and work from prints, mechanical, electrical schematic and (PLC Ladder Logic) a plusMust be able to communicate in English and communicate respectfully and effectively with other team members and supervisionMust exhibit positive and courteous mannerism when working with outside entities, maintenance team members and all manufacturing departments including operators, department managers and office associatesHas the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop toolsCan use plant welding equipment, producing strong and aesthetically pleasing depositsAnalytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish the root cause of problemsWilling to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergenciesExperience in previous roles with Preventive, Predictive and Reliability MaintenancePro-active in approach to maintenance, PM tasks and PM process improvementResponsible for keeping work area clean and following 6S sustainability planHas a complete set of personal tools.
