Apply online and kick-start your career today!Pay, Schedule, LocationStarting at $18 - $25/hour, paid weekly7 am- 5 pm, Monday - Fridays (might be some extended hours during peak season and weekends)Located in Huntley, ILDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide timely information to associates in procurement, sales, customer service, and operationsAs assigned, enter freight, pallet charges, packaging and accessorial, ensuring accurate entry into theEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemPersonally work with freight forwarders and trucking companies to route deliveries, providing timely service for our customers at the best pricePick and pack orders as neededPersonally handle and resolve transportation issues and freight claimsAlways consider the weather conditions for shipment of temperature-sensitive itemsLearn and understand all logistics-specific tech integrations with our ERP such as our WarehouseManagement System (WMS), PaceJet, and FedEx shipping stationsHelp route and load once-a-week local deliveries using CIC van and driverEnsure CIC van is ready for use at all times, communicating all concerns or problems to managementAs relates to shipping and receiving, ensure compliance with all regulations specific to CIC operations related to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food & Drug Administration (FDA),Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), Hazardous Access Critical Control Point (HACCP), and US Customs &Border Protection (CBP)Oversee temporary staff and others who work in shipping and receivingProjects and tasks as assigned from time to timeRequirements and QualificationsAt least two years of experience in shipping and receiving with at least one year in a supervisor capacity, or equivalent management experienceGeneral computer skills with experience and proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systemsCurrent forklift certification, or commitment to obtain forklift certification within ninety (90) daysSuperior organization skills and self-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishBilingual in the Spanish language a plus but not requiredAbove average math skillsSome heavy lifting requiredPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and proactiveAbility to learn systems and apply knowledge quicklyAbility to prioritize assigned and recurring tasksWill work most of the time sitting, but standing, walking, lifting and bending are also requiredWork in a fast-paced environmentManager will work on the computerMust have ability to hold, use, and operate hand-held computerized inventory devicesFollow safety warehouse protocolsKnow how to use electric and manual pallet jacks and safely and efficiently drive a forkliftSupervision, safety management, develop standards, manage processes, surveillance skills, inventory control, reporting skills, analyze information, judgement, and equipment maintenanceAbility to understand the speech of others Standing, bending, stretching and walking throughout the shift Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy objects Reading skills to read sales orders, pick tickets, packaging, claims and purchase orders Math skills as relates to converting kilograms to pounds, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing—--(Salary range based on experience)—--ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
