Production Assistant Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting $20 to $24/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday Schedule
Located in Broadview, IL
Production Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
Under direction of Production Manager and Production staff, assist in developing systems for production
order scheduling/planning and maintaining production paperwork/records.
Maintain the production master schedule. Including adding new orders, assigning orders to the correct work cell(s), sequencing the orders, removing completed orders, and allocating finish materials to orders.
Assist production staff with issuing work based on needs of production schedule, input from team leaders, and customer priorities. As needed, work with other departments to expedite critical orders, resolve material shortages, resolve unplanned downtime, and address capacity issues.
Generate required paperwork for production orders and ensure the packet of paperwork is available prior to order start date.
Review completed production order documentation/records for accuracy and completeness. If records are missing or incomplete, investigate why and work to complete the records with the responsible parties.
Maintain completed production order records.
Assist with inventory location management and cycle counts.
Production Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
Must possess 1-3 years of direct experience in the area of Production Scheduling/Planning. Manufacturing and Warehouse experience also desired
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Must possess good computer skills and be able to learn new skills as needed
APICS certification is a plus
Must be able to communicate effectively with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Production Planning
