Job Description


Our client is a leading global provider of engineered solutions, power grid and microwave tubes and related consumables. This position performs a variety of engineering work in planning, design, and reliability of new products. Works closely with other engineering disciplines to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume to bring a product from prototype to production. 


 Job Overview:

  • Assist in multiple products concurrently focusing on quality, reliability and improvements

  • Assist with Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) on new and existing products

  • MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) – Focusing primarily on electrical stresses on parts – Create and analyze reports on new and existing products 

  • Meet the schedule for the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process

  • Knowledge of electrical deration of parts and propose alternates or replacements

  • Follow new products to launch

  • Analyze Field failures and creating root cause and corrective actions

  • Originate and apply new and unique engineering methods and procedures

  • Understand Electrical Component Selection and Design Aspects

  • Understand schematics and can work on developing drop in replacements for quick board revisions Able to revise and improve on electrical schematics to improve product reliability, cost, and manufacturability

  • Able to create test procedure and validation for components and PCB level tests

  • Schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications

  • Apply engineering principles and techniques to solve a variety of problems

  • Fluent in technologies and application domain

  • Simulate analog and digital circuits in spice.

  • Able to travel to customer sites when on site data is 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to focus efforts, overcome obstacles and complete key objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SIMetrix/SIMplis is a plus
