HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FORKLIFT OPERATOR IN SOUTHAVEN, MS

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Forklift Operator to join our client in Southaven, MS. This individual will be responsible for transporting incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage in the appropriate slots and on the multi-level racks in the assigned warehouse area and replenishing / re-stock pick slots on time ensuring all safety measures are met. Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Starting at $17 to $18/hour, paid weekly

  • Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm

  • Sunday through Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 3:15 am

  • Monday through Thursday from 5:15 am to 4 pm

  • Located in Southaven, MS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review work schedules, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations.

  • Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, established procedures and practices, and written and/or verbal instructions.

  • Locate and perform count check of incoming freight in the staging area and transport to appropriate areas with Forklift / Hi-Lift / Power Jack.

  • Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.

  • Locate slots on storage racks, set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, and enter product data and location into RF scanners.

  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to the next day's work orders.

  • Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or remove outdated inventory according to company policy.

  • Disperse overstocked items to available slots for temporary storage.

  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.

  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, and stack and move pallets with a pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.

  • Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace them with charged batteries, and complete the vehicle inspection checklist.

  • At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 6 to 12 months complete forklift/power jack training and obtain a certificate; before warehouse environment.

  • Must be able to operate a reach truck.

  • Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 Years Warehouse environment operating a forklift within the foodservice industry.

  • Preferred Professional Certification(s): OSHA Forklift Operator certification.
