HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SENIOR MACHINIST / TOOL AND DIE REPAIR TECH IN ADDISON, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Senior Machinist / Tool and Die Repair Tech to join our client in Addison, IL. This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and special-purpose machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts. Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Starting at $22/hour, paid weekly

  • Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • 2nd shift schedule: 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm

  • Located in Addison, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of all employees.

  • Fabricate thread roll and cold heading dies used in our manufacturing process.

  • Diagnose, service & repair progressive stamping dies used in our manufacturing process.

  • Determine necessary dimensions and tolerances required from a sequence of operations and finished work.

  • Use blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to produce tools and dies to performance specifications.

  • Set up and operate metal working machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

  • Evaluate manufacturing procedures and recommend tool and die improvements.

  • Resolve machining or assembly problems as necessary.

  • Produce experimental tooling, parts, and fixturing as required.

  • Perform other tasks as necessary

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a machinist and/or tool-making capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and basic math skills.

  • Self-directed with the ability to work individually or in a team environment.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize workloads.

  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Good close vision and depth perception skills.

  • Positive “can do” attitude!
