HIRING IMMEDIATELY: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Pay, Schedule, Location
- Starting at $80,000/year
- 1st shift available, Monday - Friday (some overtime)
- Located in Chicago, IL
Job Duties:
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules with accuracy and speed
- Manage billing and contract setup, ensuring client terms are clear and correctly implemented
- Own the Accounts Payable process from invoice approvals to vendor setup and coding
- Apply cash receipts from electronic and lockbox payments with precision
- Support ad-hoc reporting and special finance projects across departments
- Assist with the annual audit and contribute to department planning and goal setting
Skills needed in order to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1 - 4 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables); advanced Excel a plus
- Experience with Deltek ERP and AP processes preferred
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles
- A self-starter mindset with a passion for process improvement
- High integrity, confidentiality, and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a growing company
