HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SYSTEM SUPPORT LOGISTICS MANAGER
Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.
Job Purpose
Provide managerial and operational support for IT, telecommunication, and communication systems, ensuring efficient functionality across logistics operations.
Pay, Schedule, Location
  • $65,000 - $75,000year (yearly bonus opportunity)
  • Excellent benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
  • Located in Chino, CA
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Systems Support Group General Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the Corporate Director of Networks & Security and Corporate Desktop Manager.
  • Follow corporate IT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Utilize experience in logistics operations and terminology.
  • Manage EDI communications, errors, and mapping as they relate to transportation.
  • Drive improvements in operational workflows, automating processes to reduce errors in billing and operations.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, updating regularly to meet organizational changes and training needs.
  • Manage system support staff and meet end-user system requirements.
  • Maintain and support Transportation Management Systems (TMW Truckmate knowledge preferred).
  • Plan and implement additions, deletions, and modifications to local IT infrastructure.
  • Implement network security at the local level in line with corporate direction.
  • Oversee administration and maintenance of the site’s IT infrastructure, LAN, and system support staff
  • Manage and administer the local telephone system, including routing for seating assignments.
  • Administer mobile phone systems at the local level.
  • Oversee administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for training programs.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
  • Provide support for project teams implementing internal systems.
  • Utilize SQL and VM server setup knowledge to prepare the distribution center for system failover.
  • Document and follow step-by-step turnover procedures.
  • Conduct bi-yearly training and testing to ensure preparedness.
  • Demonstrate quick response under stress to minimize operational impact.
  • Oversee help desk activities at the local level.
  • Respond to escalated issues and manage tracking software.
  • Add/remove user accounts (Windows AD), and support Microsoft Outlook/Exchange.
  • Provide timely support to internal clients
  • Build vendor relationships and manage local hardware/software purchases with approval.
  • Maintain responsible stewardship of company assets.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports for leadership.
  • Ensure sanitation and safety practices in all logistics technology areas.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to self-direct.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMW Truckmate a plus).
  • EDI expertise (204, 214, 210, 945 transactions).
  • Advanced computer networking and logistics systems literacy (LAN knowledge/certifications preferred)
  • Relational database knowledge, including backups and maintenance.
  • 4–5 years of systems management experience, with college-level training.
  • Transportation and warehouse experience a plus
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Access all areas of a warehouse environment.
  • Work in a Distribution Center environment with variable temperatures
