Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Transport Yard Coordinator to join our client in Lafayette, IN. This individual will be responsible for playing a critical role in the coordination and tracking of the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility and overseeing yard worker movements. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $40,000 to $45,000/yearly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts schedules available!
Located in Lafayette, IN
Duties and Responsibilities
Keep logs of all traffic entering and exiting the premises
Obtain and verify delivery paperwork
Instruct truck drivers to the correct area for their pickup/delivery
Direct traffic flow
Inform infractions to appropriate personnel, including safety hazards, maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, etc.
Complete all required reports and file them correctly
Keep the coordination office neat and orderly
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements and Qualifications
Attention to detail
Good knowledge of industrial equipment
Ability to operate a two-way radio
Physical ability to be able to
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Spatial awareness
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding and communicating in the English language is a requirement
Education and Experience
1+ years of verifiable yard/warehouse work (preferred)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Prior yard experience (preferred)
