Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Warehouse Lead to join our client in Huntley, IL. This individual will be responsible for accurate receiving of goods ordered by our procurement department, ensuring quantity and quality of goods is acceptable. Pay, Schedule, Location
- Starting at $18 - $25/hour, paid weekly
- 7 am- 5 pm, Monday - Fridays (might be some extended hours during peak season and weekends)
- Located in Huntley, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide timely information to associates in procurement, sales, customer service, and operations
- As assigned, enter freight, pallet charges, packaging and accessorial, ensuring accurate entry into the
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Personally work with freight forwarders and trucking companies to route deliveries, providing timely service for our customers at the best price
- Pick and pack orders as needed
- Personally handle and resolve transportation issues and freight claims
- Always consider the weather conditions for shipment of temperature-sensitive items
- Learn and understand all logistics-specific tech integrations with our ERP such as our Warehouse
- Management System (WMS), PaceJet, and FedEx shipping stations
- Help route and load once-a-week local deliveries using CIC van and driver
- Ensure CIC van is ready for use at all times, communicating all concerns or problems to management
- As relates to shipping and receiving, ensure compliance with all regulations specific to CIC operations related to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food & Drug Administration (FDA),
- Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), Hazardous Access Critical Control Point (HACCP), and US Customs &
- Border Protection (CBP)
- Oversee temporary staff and others who work in shipping and receiving
- Projects and tasks as assigned from time to time
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in shipping and receiving with at least one year in a supervisor capacity, or equivalent management experience
- General computer skills with experience and proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Current forklift certification, or commitment to obtain forklift certification within ninety (90) days
- Superior organization skills and self-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingual in the Spanish language a plus but not required
- Above average math skills
- Some heavy lifting required
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and proactive
- Ability to learn systems and apply knowledge quickly
- Ability to prioritize assigned and recurring tasks
- Will work most of the time sitting, but standing, walking, lifting and bending are also required
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Manager will work on the computer
- Must have ability to hold, use, and operate hand-held computerized inventory devices
- Follow safety warehouse protocols
- Know how to use electric and manual pallet jacks and safely and efficiently drive a forklift
- Supervision, safety management, develop standards, manage processes, surveillance skills, inventory control, reporting skills, analyze information, judgement, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to understand the speech of others
- Standing, bending, stretching and walking throughout the shift
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy objects
- Reading skills to read sales orders, pick tickets, packaging, claims and purchase orders
- Math skills as relates to converting kilograms to pounds, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
