Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $20/hour
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- 1st shift schedule: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Located in Elk Grove Village, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts, including but not limited to counterbalance, and reach.
- Load and unload trucks, stack materials in designated areas, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other software to track inventory, scan barcodes, update stock levels, and cycle counts.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts, report any mechanical issues, and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification from a recognized training provider.
- Proficient with computers and WMS software. Experience with handheld scanners and RF devices is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Meticulous and accurate in inventory management and order processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
