HIRING IMMEDIATELY: PRODUCTION ASSISTANT IN FOREST PARK, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Production Assistant to join our client in Forest Park, IL. This individual will be responsible for assisting thermoformers in the operation of equipment and processing forms, as well as manually trimming sharp edges on robot-cut materials. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $18/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 10:30 pm, plus Saturday as needed
Located in Forest Park, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Follow detailed procedures and instructions
Manually handle thermoformed parts
Use a deburring tool to trim forms
Apply decals, labels, and UPC tags to formed parts according to engineering drawing or shop instructions
Apply hinges to formed parts according to engineering drawing or shop instructions
Group process scrap and apply tag with proper identification information
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards; notify Production Supervisor of any defects
Pack finished goods according to engineering drawings or shop instructions
Know emergency procedures
Follow Company policy regarding the use of PPE
Other functions as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor or Team Lead
Requirements and Qualifications
Have 1 year of prior experience in a manufacturing environment
English; Spanish helpful
Ability to use power and hand tools
Good understanding of quality control principles at any time as required
High School graduate or equivalent in training or experience
Standard of 8 hours shift (on occasion longer shifts)
Regular attendance is required with few unscheduled absences
Standing and walking throughout the shift
Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs
Use of both hands as necessary
Tools may include deburring tools, drills, and hand tools
Reaching above and below the shoulders is required
