HIRING IMMEDIATELY: METAL FINISHING MASKING TECHNICIAN IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Metal Finishing Masking Technician to join our client in Elk Grove Village, IL. This individual will be responsible for maintaining production throughput in accordance with customer-established on-time delivery and quality expectations. Pay, Schedule, Location
  • Starting at $18/hour, paid weekly
  • All shifts available
  • Location in Elk Grove Village, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules to maintain a safe working environment
  • All appropriate PPE must be worn
  • Use of established knowledge, skills, and abilities to apply various masking materials on aerospace parts and assemblies
  • Requires use of sharp cutting tools
  • Requires controlled exposure to solvents
  • Consistently produce product matching (first article masking samples)
  • Accurate and timely completion of shop documentation (digital and paper) including but not limited to work orders, process techniques, inspection reports, first articles and frozen planning
  • Collaborate with immediate peers, de-masking, inspection, and chemical processing application personnel
  • Engage in ongoing training opportunities, continuous process improvement initiatives and periodic performance assessments
Requirements and Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Experience in a production environment is preferred
  • PC literate with at least a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic arithmetic skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Able to speak and write English (Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus)
  • Individuals must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Fundamental engineering drawing interpretation after training
  • Use of precision measuring equipment - micrometer and caliper gages
  • Basic knowledge of the clients pretreatments including but not limited to anodize, chem film, passivation, phosphate, cadmium, and abrasive blasting processes
  • Detail oriented, neat, and orderly
  • Working knowledge of masking material usage, benefits, and limitations
  • Comfortable within a highly regulated AS9100 / Nadcap / Lean 5S environment
  • Ability to see small details with own or corrected vision.
  • Must have good dexterity in hands, wrists, and fingers to perform job duties without damage to parts
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time and handling parts ranging in size and weight
