HIRING IMMEDIATELY: STAFF ACCOUNTANT IN HOUSTON, TX
Accurate Personnel is hiring for a Staff Accountant to join our Houston-based client with a diverse portfolio encompassing commercial office, apartment, senior living, retail, and industrial properties. The Opportunity
The Staff Accountant is central to the multifamily property operations, focusing on the meticulous analysis of financial data, preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, and precise handling of accounts payable. You'll be instrumental in generating essential financial reports and contributing to the overall financial health of the clients.
Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Location: Houston, TX 77063 (Hybrid - Onsite with hybrid opportunity)
  • Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime available)
  • Duration: Direct Hire
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage core accounts payable functions, including vendor account setup and closure, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and resolving any discrepancies
  • Leverage advanced proficiency in Onesite, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software to streamline accounting processes
  • Perform comprehensive monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts for multiple properties within portfolios
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports for both clients and lenders, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Address and resolve customer service inquiries professionally, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, new business development team, property management, internal accounting departments, and external vendors
  • Provide support for property setup, budget data entry, and assist with property audits
  • Ensure all month-end closing deadlines are met consistently and accurately
  • Offer general administrative assistance to the corporate office as required
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality for all proprietary, financial, and resident information
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks, such as year-end tax reporting and bank reconciliations, as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is required
