This individual will be responsible for ensuring that products and services meet internal and external quality standards, including regulatory compliance and customer expectations. Pay, Schedule, Location
  • Ranging from $57,000 - $62,000/year (bonus opportunity)
  • Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday 
  • Located in Ruther Glen, VA
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the cheese production department
  • Communicate professionally through email with internal teams and external contacts
  • Coordinate and organize daily production schedules during pre-production
  • Manage and monitor production timelines to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Maintain professional email etiquette and correspondence standards
  • Enforce plant quality control protocols and inspection procedures
  • Oversee and enhance plant HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) program
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • Promote awareness and adherence to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Enforce safety rules, sanitation standards, and production targets
  • Manage order processing to ensure timely and accurate customer service
  • Uphold company policies to maintain high-quality service standards
  • Schedule employees, assign duties, and manage time-off requests and evaluations
  • Train and assist team members on department procedures and expectations
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and discrepancies
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Monitor productivity and communicate performance standards to staff
  • Remain flexible to support business needs across all shifts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by operations leadership
Requirements and Qualifications 
  • Some college coursework in management preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in food processing or a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS) and inventory platforms
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Extended periods of computer use and desk work
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures within a distribution or production environment
