Job Title: Die Cutting & Tooling Manager
Shift: 1st 6am-2pm
Pay: $75,000-100,000k + Bonus
As a key part of a growing packaging manufacturer, we're seeking a Die Cutting & Tooling Manager who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving continuous improvement—whether through process optimization, tooling enhancements, or software integration. You’ll play a vital role in managing day-to-day production while also helping shape the department’s long-term strategy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shift productivity and ensure seamless operations across all shifts.
- Coordinate closely with scheduling, design, die-making, and production teams to align tooling and production needs.
- Source and manage materials from approved vendors while maintaining budget controls and inventory accuracy.
- Develop tracking tools to evaluate performance on blanking vs. non-blanking jobs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe die cutting environment.
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with production and quality requirements.
- Proactively address issues that may impact operations or customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 3+ years in a supervisory/managerial role in folding carton or related packaging industries.
- Hands-on experience with die cutting machinery (e.g., Bobst), including setup, maintenance, and optimization.
- Familiarity with CAD software for die layout and design.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
