Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Dock Material Handler to join our client in Joliet, IL. This individual will be responsible for maintaining control of products in the reserve stock area. The ideal candidate will have previous dock material handler experience. Pay, Schedule, Location
- Starting at $21/hour, paid weekly
- Excellent benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k)
- 1st shift: 8:30 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday
- Location in Joliet, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates basic power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider) in a safe and efficient manner to put away, move, locate, stack checked in products to correct storage locations on a daily basis
- This includes stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed
- Monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves
- Receives product into the distribution center by unloading trucks using, pallet jack, electric pallet or by hand
- Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight billsVerifying quantity ordered versus quantity received and checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies
- Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork
- Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards, and follows department standard operating procedures
- Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area
- Completing any additional tasks or duties designated by the distribution center supervisor
- Assists the shipping department with order filling and packing when needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- Primarily operates basic power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, ) to fill and ship orders
- Knowledge of picking products from shelves or bins, moving, stacking and staging materials, and completing shipping paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
