HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FORKLIFT DRIVER IN MELROSE PARK, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Forklift Driver to join our client in Melrose Park, IL! This role is ideal for experienced forklift operators who can safely and efficiently operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts while performing general warehouse duties.
Pay, Schedule, and Location:
- Pay Rate:
- 1st Shift: $20.00/hr
- 2nd Shift: $20.50/hr
- 3rd Shift: $21.00/hr
- Schedule: Flexible shifts available:
- 1st Shift: Sun–Thu 7:00 am–3:30 pm / Mon–Fri 7:00 am–3:30 pm / Tue–Sat 7:00 am–3:30 pm
- 2nd Shift: Sun–Thu 3:00 pm–11:30 pm / Mon–Fri 3:00 pm–11:30 pm / Tue–Sat 3:00 pm–11:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: Mon–Fri 10:00 pm–6:30 am
- Location: Melrose Park, IL
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, and other shipments efficiently.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with order preparation, picking, staging, and other general warehouse duties.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by locating, relocating, and counting merchandise as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Physical stamina to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy when handling merchandise.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all facility safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with forklift equipment, basic maintenance, and warehouse technology such as RF scanners or handheld devices.
