Pay, Schedule, Location
- Starting at $18/hour, paid weekly
- 2:30 pm - 11 pm, Monday - Friday
- Located in Baytown, TX 77523
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
- Lead, train and supervise a team of inventory associates
- Monitor team performance to ensure operational goals are met from assigned tasks
- Ensuring proper storage conditions are consistently met
- Implement and uphold quality control measures to minimize product damage and loss
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory with accurate data
- Create and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Communicate with customers regarding inventory status and resolve any issues
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs and expectations
- Implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency
- Monitor and optimize storage space utilization
- Identify and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and workflows
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a cold storage environment
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- This position involves working in a refrigerated environment with exposure to cold temperatures
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required
