HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MACHINE OPERATOR IN GRAYSLAKE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Machine Operator to join our client in Grayslake, IL. This individual will be responsible for setting up machines, observing operations, and inspecting first runs and samples of workpieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting from $16 to $18/hour, paid weekly
Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
Located in Grayslake, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up the machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample workpiece to ensure machining conforms to specifications
Reads blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as wire type, dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be run, and tooling instructions
Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM
Inspect pieces/parts and ensure they conform to specification and industry standards
Maintain productively at levels that match or exceed production standards
Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures
Keeping all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis
Performs routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel
Experience in cold-heading, pointing, and/or threading preferred
Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as air/power tools, scales, rulers and gages
Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, blueprints, quality specifications, and other related documents
Ability to work independently
