Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Shipping Supervisor to join our client in Bloomingdale, IL. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily shipping and logistics operations within a fast-paced co-packing environment. Pay, Schedules, and Location
- Starting at $24 - $30/hour, paid weekly
- 1st shift: 6 am - 4:30 pm
- Located in Bloomingdale, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of shipping clerks, forklift drivers, and warehouse associates
- Schedule and prioritize outbound shipments based on production and carrier schedules
- Ensure all shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels) is accurate and compliant
- Coordinate with production, QA, and inventory control to meet daily and weekly shipping targets
- Monitor and maintain inventory of shipping supplies
- Communicate with carriers, freight companies, and logistics partners to resolve shipping issues
- Conduct shift hand-offs and ensure accurate communication between shifts
- Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance and adherence to SOPs and safety regulations
- Utilize ERP or WMS systems to track and process shipments
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings and efficiency
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or shipping supervision (co-packing or food industry a plus)
- Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
