Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Warehouse Lead to join our client in Chicago, IL 60609. This individual is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of warehouse line staff working in cold environments. The ideal candidate will have previous butcher experience. Pay, Schedule, Location
- Starting at $18/hour, paid weekly
- Monday - Friday Saturday ( with some Saturdays ) 5:15 am start working 8-12 hours shifts
- Location in Chicago, IL 60609
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse line staff working in cold environments
- Monitor production lines to ensure orders are filled correctly, timely, and in accordance with company and USDA standards
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) of meat products.
- Train new employees on cold storage procedures, safety, equipment use, and company policies
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices in compliance with HACCP,USDA, and company guidelines
- Inspect products and packaging for quality assurance and report any non-conformities.
- Support inventory control through accurate reporting, scanning, and tracking of goods.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors, logistics, and QA teams regarding production issues or delays
- Assist in scheduling, timekeeping, and performance feedback for warehouse associates
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the department
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred
- 2+ years of warehouse or production experience, with 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience working in cold storage, food production, or meat processing is required
- Strong understanding of USDA, HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Able to work in temperatures ranging from 32°F to -10°F for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Cold and damp warehouse or production environment
- Requires wearing PPE, including insulated clothing, gloves, and non-slip footwear
- Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and quality standards
- May involve weekend, holiday, or overtime shifts depending on production needs
