Job Title: Welder/Fabricator
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Onsite – Berlin, CT
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30am–3:00pm (mandatory OT up to 10 hours as needed)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with a strong background in TIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of welding experience and thrives in a hands-on environment working with heavy fabrication equipment. This role involves both in-shop fabrication and occasional travel for on-site installations and projects across New England. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights (on lifts, ladders, and roofs) and able to adapt to a variety of jobsite conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding as primary process, with secondary MIG and stick welding as required.
- Fabricate and assemble components using heavy fabrication equipment, hand tools, and welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Travel to project sites across New England for installations and on-site fabrication work (company vehicle provided for travel).
- Safely operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment while working at heights.
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience with strong emphasis on TIG welding.
- Proficiency in MIG and stick welding (secondary processes).
- Ability to work with heavy fabrication equipment and tools.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to and from work.
- Willingness to travel across New England for certain projects (company vehicles provided).
