HIRING IMMEDIATELY: CNC OPERATOR IN CHICAGO, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a CNC Operator to join our client in Chicago, IL! This role is perfect for a skilled operator with experience reading blueprints and working with CNC machinery to create custom event décor.
Pay, Schedule, and Location:
  • Pay Rate: $21 to $22/hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm
  • Location: Chicago, IL
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to cut wood, plastics, foam, and similar materials.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, design files (e.g., DXF, DWG), and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to turn creative concepts into tangible products.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all cuts and finished products.
  • Assist with material handling, finishing, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating CNC routers or similar machinery.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Fusion 360, VCarve).
  • Experience with materials such as wood, MDF, acrylic, PVC, and foam.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and creative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in event or theatrical production.
  • Basic woodworking or finishing skills.
  • Bilingual abilities – cultural diversity is valued.
