HIRING IMMEDIATELY: INJECTION MOLDING LINE TECHNICIAN IN ROMEOVILLE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Injection Molding Line Technician to join our client in Romeoville, IL. This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machinery to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards. Pay, Available Schedules, and Location
  • Ranging at $25 - $35/hour, paid weekly
  • 1st shift: 10am - 6pm or 2nd shift: 12pm - 8pm, both Monday - Friday
  • Located in Romeoville, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up molds and production equipment according to the production schedule or as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment alarms and identify root causes of machine downtime or production issues
  • Document causes of production interruptions and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare first and last production samples for Quality Control evaluation
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on production machinery and tooling
  • Accurately record production data including setup times, downtime, and scrap rates
  • Maintain and improve 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards within the assigned work cell
  • Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Provide backup support for production operators, material handlers, and shift leads as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement through A3 reports and participation in shift-level improvement projects
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and plant objectives
  • Work areas are clean, organized, and efficient
  • Assigned work cells meet or exceed performance targets
  • Tasks and improvement projects are completed on time
  • Minimized scrap and downtime
  • Consistent productivity
  • Compliance with 5S and quality standards
  • Low rate of internal/external quality complaints
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proficient in mold and machine setup
  • Skilled in operating and troubleshooting production equipment
  • Basic understanding of industrial maintenance procedures
  • Ability to interpret and apply SPC and quality control processes
  • Familiarity with PLC controls and robot programming
  • Knowledge of plastic processing techniques
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience with hoisting and material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) in manufacturing
  • Solid knowledge of 5S principles and their practical application
  • Experience with A3 problem-solving methodology and execution
