HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MACHINE OPERATOR IN CAROL STREAM, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for Machine Operator to join our client in Carol Stream, IL. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely processing and operation of the die-cutting machines while ensuring quality and safety standards are met daily. Pay, Schedule, Location
  • Starting at $20/hour, paid weekly
  • 6 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday (overtime on Saturday available)
  • Located in Carol Stream, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates production machinery in accordance with machine specifications
  • Provides a record of errors on job ticket resulting in rejected or discarded pieces to manager
  • Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
  • Prevents errors by reading the job ticket before any job starts
  • Verifies accuracy of die cutting materials and dies are on hand prior to beginning set up
  • Efficiently operates production machines to produce high quality products
  • Ensure all produced products are in accordance with the job ticket including size, color, style, and quantity
  • Prevents error by engaging supervisor on duty for any production escalations needed
  • Routinely moves product from the production area to appropriate next step
  • Troubleshoots issues with die cutting machine and makes basic repairs
  • Always prepared for next job to be run
  • Provides ad hoc support for other production areas
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications 
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Associate degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program preferred
  • At least one year of related experience is required
  • Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Must be over the age of 18 to comply with OSHA standards
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent standing, bending and stooping
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
