Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Welder to join our client in Crystal Lake, IL. This individual will be responsible for all welding applications for the product, as well as working on various types of metal and specified electrodes. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $21/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm
Located in Crystal Lake, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Change over, adjust and operate the machine to weld a variety of parts
Check work to ensure accurate fusion, strength, and finish
Visually inspect production for distortion, burning, slug, etc
Check product against print using various gages, micrometers, calipers, etc. as denoted in work instruction
Verify, count and package completed production
Perform routine maintenance on all assigned equipment and machinery
Return all equipment, parts, etc. to proper storage areas
Maintain organized and clean work area
Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with Supervisor
Receive, understand and follow all written and oral instruction
Timely and accurate completion of all work associated with the position
Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes, and product quality
Maintain, meet or exceed ratings on performance evaluations
Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others
Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements
Perform other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements and Qualifications
OSHA required training in Lock-out/Tag-out, Hazard Communication, PPE, and Emergency Evacuation
Welding classes and/or technical training
3 to 5 years experience, Certified Forklift Driver
In-house technical training on assigned machines and equipment
Ability to speak, read and communicate in English
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Basic shop math understanding
Ability to use a variety of moving equipment including hoists, forklifts, pallet trucks, etc
Proficient MIG welder. TIG welding experience is a plus
Understanding of department machinery and equipment
