HIRING IMMEDIATELY: PROJECT MANAGER IN CHICAGO, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Project Manager to join our client in Chicago, IL! This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with experience managing custom build or creative fabrication projects.
Pay, Schedule, and Location:
  • Pay Rate: $23 to $24/hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm
  • Location: Chicago, IL
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead assigned custom build projects from design support through completion, keeping scope, budget, and schedule on track.
  • Develop and manage project timelines and key milestones.
  • Coordinate build and install schedules with production leadership.
  • Review and contribute to design planning, offering insight on feasibility, production needs, and potential hurdles.
  • Assist in creating or modifying design elements based on budget constraints.
  • Create floorplans, renderings, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation.
  • Source, price, and purchase materials according to project specifications, optimizing for quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Calculate and communicate costs, margins, and pricing structures with internal teams.
  • Serve as primary point of contact between team and client, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
  • Track product and material delivery, coordinating with receiving and production teams.
  • Share regular project updates with stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to workflows, efficiency, and safety.
  • Occasionally assist with CNC routing or visit trade shows/vendor sites as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 2–3 years of experience in project management, creative production, or design/fabrication purchasing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Skilled in project tracking, organization, and time management.
  • Strong math skills for pricing, budgeting, and estimating.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of project outcomes.
  • Experience in custom builds, event production, or design industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery or design software is a plus.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Work Environment:
  • Primarily office/computer-based (~95% of the workday)
  • Some movement between workspaces and client locations
  • Moderate noise levels in workshop or on-site settings
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; visual acuity (with correction) required
