HIRING IMMEDIATELY: WAREHOUSE SANITATION ASSOCIATE IN RUTHER GLEN, VA

This individual will be responsible for safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures. Pay, Schedule, Location
  • Starting at $15/hour, paid weekly
  • All shifts available, overtime available
  • Located in Ruther Glen, VA
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of warehouse Sanitation Processes
  • Following procedures and coordinating with Quality Control (QC) to ensure sanitation standards are met based on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
  • Sanitation must promote a safe work environment through personal actions; identify any safety concerns as well as cost saving opportunities
  • Safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures
  • Operating of cleaning equipment
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed
  • Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line(s)
  • Using and documenting chemical usage to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications
  • Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator test
  • Perform cleaning duties, such as: Cleaning surfaces, scrubbing floors, removal of spider webs, washing walls and windows, removing plastics and cardboard
  • Follow instructions for safely operating equipment
  • Understand the Operators Manual
  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized work area at all times
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications and experience
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be certified and able to operate Electric pallet jack, Forklift, Reach
  • Must be able to complete and Chemical Handling course
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to SAFETY
  • Knowledge of MSDS
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals or task assignments
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to work standing up or sitting down for long periods of time
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to work in a distribution center environment with a variation of temperatures
  • Ability to safely work around/with heavy moving equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, scissor lifts) in a high paced environment
