HIRING IMMEDIATELY: YARD CLERK IN ABERDEEN, MD
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Yard Clerk to join our client in Aberdeen, MD. This position supports yard and guard shack operations by checking trailers, verifying yard reports, and entering information into the warehouse management system. We are seeking candidates with prior clerk, dispatch, or guard shack experience who are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
PAY, SCHEDULE, AND LOCATION:
- $19/hour, paid weekly
- Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Location: Aberdeen, MD
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform yard checks by verifying trailer locations and statuses
- Identify whether trailers are empty or full; open trailer/container doors as needed (up to 50 lbs)
- Compare yard findings to yard reports and notate updates
- Enter and remove trailer information in the WMS and guard log
- Check trailers in and out while interacting with drivers
- Operate from the guard shack and assist with traffic clerk duties
- Work outdoors as needed in varying weather conditions
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation
- Use provided tools such as clipboard, paperwork, gloves, vest, and flashlight
- Follow all safety guidelines and site procedures
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Resume showing clerk, dispatch, or guard shack experience required
- Ability to lift and open heavy trailer/container doors (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Basic computer knowledge; ability to learn WMS and guard log systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Reliable, dependable, and able to communicate clearly with drivers
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Must be able to interview before placement
