This individual will be responsible for providing managerial and operational support for the orderly control of the Maintenance department functions as dictated by various departmental needs. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $47,000 to $52,000/yearly
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- 1st shift: 8 am to 5 pm
- Located in Minooka, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates activities of the associates in the Maintenance department.
- Support the operations by assisting in the design and implementation of the work schedules for the Maintenance department.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, retention, promotion, transfer with the Maintenance Manager.
- Assigns duties to workers and schedules break periods, work hours and vacations
- Schedules and performs periodic evaluations of Maintenance department employees as dictated by the appropriate HR policies.
- Trains associates in warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties.
- Conducts regular inspections and ensures the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility.
- Monitor all equipment to be operational and follow up on repairs.
- Generate work orders for repairs made internal and approved vendors on Service Channel work order tracking software
Requirements and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator
- Ability to manage all operational programs as directed by Admin and the Maintenance Manager.
- High level of computer and WMS system literacy.
- Some college level training is preferred but not necessary so long as there is experience in warehouse supervision
- Some experience in the wholesale industry preferred
- Maintenance experience in a warehouse environment
