Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $23

- 1st shift schedule, 6 am to 6 pm
- Located in Elk Grove Village, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, removing, and changing molds within molding machines
- Connect and disconnect water, oil, and hot runner lines to molds
- Verify that the correct mold and process settings are loaded for production
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on molds, such as cleaning and lubricating
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the molding and work areas
- Operate auxiliary equipment, including granulators and temperature controllers
- Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to standards
- Ensure molds are properly cleaned and ready for use before starting a cycle
- Complete check sheets, maintenance logs, and other required production paperwork
- Report any mold-related issues, part defects, or equipment problems to supervisors or the Quality Control department
- Provide support to other technicians during breaks or absences
Requirements and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and the ability to perform hands-on tasks
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials (e.g., over 50 pounds), and working on your feet for extended periods
- Crucial for verifying process settings, inspecting parts, and maintaining accurate records
- Must adhere to safety protocols, including those related to working with machinery and in high-heat environments
- Often provided by the employer, making formal qualifications less critical, though prior experience is a plus
